Welcome back! 🙂

I used to have problems with finding the best body lotion or balm. An overwhelming drugstore offer didn’t help. You must be facing the same problem, I guess. You go to a store and see a line of products including a body butter, body lotion, body oil… Which one to choose? How not to go crazy? I know many of you pay attention to nothing but a nice… aroma of a body care product. Been there…

Is there an all-purpose body care product that works best?

I guess it hasn’t been made yet but, to be honest, a quality argan oil applied to damp skin tops all products! However, when thinking of regular body lotions, butters or balms, there are no leaders. Obviously, we all have different needs, skin types, we are different age, even a season of the year matters. In winter we need richer butters and I choose the thickest ones 🙂

I know, though, that some people prefer light products even in the wintertime. It’s nothing bad but you need to make sure your product is made of quality ingredients, and has protective and intensively-moisturizing properties.

Have you ever bought a product that was supposed to moisturize the skin but it gave “zero” effect? It was probably filled up with aromatic substances drying out the skin, parabens, silicones and other nasties.

Does your body balm HAVE TO moisturize the skin?

Of course it does! This is its major function. What other benefits should the best body lotion give? Hands down it must protect skin from external aggressors and it would be nice if it didn’t dry out skin. In other words, it should be made of good ingredients, without synthetics.

MOISTURE BOOST + SKIN PROTECTION + FINE INGREDIENTS = BEST BODY CARE PRODUCT

BODY OILS AND BUTTERS. DO THEY MAKE A GOOD CHOICE FOR ALL OF US?

Yeah, they do! There are no contraindications. You just need to pick the right organic beauty oil and that’s it! Many people like to add oils to their bath water (there’s no need for using a body balm or butter afterwards). Others like to rub oils into damp skin after a shower and yet other oil fans mix them with a lotion and smooth such mixture all over the body. There’s yet another brilliant idea for applying natural oils: mix a cold-pressed oil with a floral water and spray this blend on the skin. A really fast and effective way to enhance the body!

I know I didn’t give you a clear answer about the best pick. The choice is up to you and depends on your skin but you must remember about two rules:

  1. In the wintertime skin is more into richer, thicker products whereas it prefers lighter, fast-absorbing formulas in summer.
  2. Ingredients do matter! Buy products paying attention to the INCI list, not aroma. Seek natural formulas free from parabens and alcohols.

OILS THAT I SWEAR BY & VOUCH FOR

Avocado oil houses 7 super vitamins to moisturize skin, deliver nutrients, repair the lipid layer. This oil has an intense anti-wrinkle effect.

Almond oil (sweet almond oil) is gentle and ideal for sensitive skin so its powerful anti-stretch mark effect is a nice surprise.

Argan oil is a top moisturizer working for sensitive and aging skin. It “irons out” wrinkles and, at the same time, makes a perfect pick for spot-prone skin. It enhances anti-cellulite treatments.

Let’s call it a day! See U 🙂
